Fandom Name: Nam Nation
Fans on Eric Nam’s official Daum Fan Cafe were asked to suggest names for the fandom over 2 weeks, from February 2nd – 15th, 2016.
The final announcement for the fandom name was made on March 9, 2016.
After the voting amongst the fans between the four following suggestions Ricpublic, Ericphunt, Nampyeon and NamNation, Eric selected NamNation as the fandom name.
Eric shared what does his fans mean to him…
“It’s the feeling of my people (who are on my side), who are always with me!
I felt that name that best matches with that feeling would be 남네이션(NamNation).
Wouldn’t there be individual 남편 (Nampyeon) in (the fandom)?”

Eric Nam decided to refer to his fans as 남네이션(NamNation), while 남편 (Nampyeon) would be the nickname for the fans.
